Mary Anne Callahan
Principal, Investment Banking
Mary Anne Callahan is a Principal in Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P.’s Investment Banking Group. Her responsibilities include mergers and acquisitions and capital financings for banks, thrifts and specialty finance companies. Ms. Callahan has more than 15 years of senior investment banking experience. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2003, Ms. Callahan worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Merrill Lynch and CIBC World Markets. Ms. Callahan’s recent transaction experience at Sandler O’Neill includes Eastern Bank’s mutual bank combination with Plymouth Bank, National Penn Bancshares acquisition of KNBT Bancorp, Eastern Bank Corporation’s acquisition of MASSBANK Corp. and First Chester County Corporation’s acquisition of American Home Bank, Sovereign’s acquisition of First Essex; and Granite Bank’s sale to Chittenden Bank in New England. Ms. Callahan oversaw National Penn Bancshares’ divestiture of Pan Asia Bank and the sale of Peoples Bank in the Mid Atlantic region. Ms. Callahan holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
