Managing Director, Investment Banking
Tim O’Connor is a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. Mr. O’Connor established and leads the firm’s Recapitalization and Advisory Services Group, which provides advice related to recapitalizations and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising and other advisory services, primarily to middle market companies.
Mr. O’Connor has extensive corporate finance and restructuring experience. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, he served as Co-Head of the Investment Banking Division of Gleacher & Company. He also lead Broadpoint Capital’s Investment Banking Division, Imperial Capital’s Investment Banking practice in New York, and was a Managing Director in the Recapitalization & Restructuring Group at Jefferies & Company, as well as Head of Restructuring at Raymond James & Associates.
Before becoming a strategic and financial advisor, Mr. O’Connor served as Chief Financial Officer of Kaiser Group International, Inc., a billion-dollar international professional services contractor, where he led the company’s financial restructuring. Other previous experience includes senior positions with both General Electric Company and Lockheed Martin Corporation.
Mr. O’Connor holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
