Director, Mortgage Finance
Teresa R. Petty-Farris is a Director/Quality Control Manager at Sandler O’Neill Mortgage Finance L. P. Ms. Petty-Farris’ experience within the secondary market mortgage industry spans 30 years in a variety of roles.
Ms. Petty-Farris is responsible for recruiting, managing and training all quality control personnel in addition to developing, implementing and maintaining all quality control procedures. She monitors accuracy and quality of all due diligence reviews, performs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac post-purchase reviews, and reviews loan purchase and sale agreements to determine compliance with portfolio characteristics. She performs Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac pool certification, develops and negotiates ARM plan legal document delivery with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and monitors and tests computer system enhancements to support technical and analytical aspects of loan portfolio review processing. She has also been a Project Manager on agency securitizations, and on sales of performing and non-performing loans (residential and commercial).
Before joining Sandler O’Neill Mortgage Finance, Ms. Petty-Farris worked for Union Planters National Bank as well as various firms nationwide as an independent contract underwriter/consultant, where she focused on coordinating mortgage consumer loan due diligence reviews with financial institutions nationwide.
Ms. Petty-Farris received an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration from Shelby State College. She also attended Memphis State University and the American Institute of Banking. She is a member of the Shelby State Office Administration Advisory Committee, volunteer/fundraiser for the Porter-Leath Children Center and National Transplant Foundation.
