Principal, Fixed Income Sales
John Beckelman is a Principal of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. Mr. Beckelman works with senior management teams of middle-market commercial banks and thrifts to develop detailed strategic programs, including balance sheet restructuring, capital raising and mergers and acquisitions, tailored to institutions’ financial and corporate planning goals.
Mr. Beckelman joined Sandler O’Neill in 1991 and was named a Principal in 1999. In addition to his work with clients, Mr. Beckelman has responsibility for direct oversight of Sandler O’Neill’s Fixed Income sales and trading department.
Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Mr. Beckelman was previously a Vice President of the Financial Services Group of Tucker Anthony. Before this, he was affiliated with the Bank Service Division of L.F. Rothschild & Co., and received his initial training at Salomon Brothers.
Mr. Beckelman holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. John’s University and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Fordham University. He is active with numerous charitable organizations. Mr. Beckelman serves on the Board of Directors of VIIAD Inc., a medical industry technology company, and also on the Board of Directors of the MIAX Options Exchange, a fully electronic options trading exchange.
