Christopher O. Murray is a Principal in the Investment Banking Group of Sandler O'Neill + Partners, L.P. He has more than 25 years of investment banking experience.
Mr. Murray advises financial institutions primarily in the Southwest and Midwest regions of the United States on various strategic matters, including mergers and acquisitions and capital-raising.
Mr. Murray’s recent M&A experience includes advising The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines in its merger with The Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, OmniAmerican Bancorp in its sale to Southside Bancshares, ViewPoint Financial Group in its merger with LegacyTexas Group, Bank of Houston in its sale to Independent Bank Group, PMC Commercial Trust in its merger with CIM Urban REIT, LLC and American State Financial Corporation in its sale to Prosperity Bancshares. He has also helped clients raise significant public and private capital, including most recently the initial public offerings (IPOs) of Independent Bank Group, Green Bancorp, Veritex Holdings and Triumph Bancorp.
Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill in 2002, Mr. Murray was a senior investment banker at Goldman, Sachs & Co. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The State University of New York - Binghamton, and a Master of Business Administration from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
