John Sparacio is a Principal of Sandler O’Neill & Partners, L.P., where he oversees the preparation of the firm’s financial statements and its regulatory reporting process. Mr. Sparacio is responsible for monitoring the firm’s net capital to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as implementing and maintaining the firm’s internal accounting controls.
Mr. Sparacio joined the firm in 1996 in its New York headquarters and became a Principal in 2005. Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, he worked in the financial services department at BDO Seidman, LLP, where he specialized in auditing the financial statements of securities brokers and dealers.
Mr. Sparacio graduated summa cum laude from Pace University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in public accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Series 27 Financial and Operations Principal license. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
