Sound, Value-Added Advice

Our Investment Banking Group provides a comprehensive offering of corporate finance and financial advisory services. We are a recognized leader in capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and conversion and demutualization transactions for financial institutions of all sizes.

We have earned a reputation as a trusted advisor by forming strong, long-lasting relationships and giving sound advice focused on building long-term value for clients. We work closely with management teams to define and achieve strategic goals. Because of the success of our clients, we’ve experienced some of our own successes:

  • Capital Raising - In 2018, Sandler O'Neill was the top advisor for banks raising debt capital. We acted as the sole, lead, or co-manager on 63% 1 of the subordinated notes or senior notes offerings for community and regional depositories, raising over $1.2 billion through 29 offerings. 2
  • M&A Advisory -  In 2018, Sandler O’Neill advised on more bank and thrift mergers than any other firm with 61 transactions, and in a greater aggregate deal value than any other firm with $17.9 billion. 3
  • Mutual Conversions and Demutualizations - We have one of the most experienced teams in the industry, with over 100 completed conversions and demutualizations for thrifts and insurance companies since 1995.
